The bathroom is a very necessary part of the house; nowadays, the bathrooms are provided with much comfort; the floors and walls are filed, which gives them a light, clean appearance; some are white, others in colours with all the articles to match; bath, washbasin W. C. shelf, medicine-cupboard etc.
The baths are large, they have cold and warm showers; while in some bathrooms the shower is separate, and provided with a good waterproof curtain, which when drawn, forms a small bathroom, where a person can take a bath with all ease and liberty.
The modern bathrooms also contain a good washbasin, which usually has hot and cold water; and above it, a looking-glass and a shelf, for tooth-paste, footh-brushes, and shaving-things. Some people perfer to keap these articles in the medicine-cuphoard, placed hung. out of the children's way, as some medicines are dangerous.
Biside the basin, there is a towel-rail, where the towels are hung. The bathroom usualy contains the sanitary arrangements, and therefore needs great care and cleanliness.
A house without a good bathroom is very Iacking in comfort.
