LESSON 03

I do not feel well; I have a headache and a sore throat; my nose is running; I think I have caught a cold. A cold is very disagreeable, and often leads to serious complaints; if neglected.
Grippe is usually the resulto f a bad cold; it begins with pains in the joints, with fever, and a cough; if not treated at once it becomes very serious, and when the lungs are attacked, may even become fatal.
When a person is ill, we send for the doctor: he feels the patient’s pulse, takes the temperature, asks questions, and then he prescribes medicines and diet for the patient.
After a serious illness, comes the period of convalescence; which is a difficult time for the invalid; who is weak, without energy or desire to get strong; only with great patience and much will-power, can he be made to do his best to get well again.
Health is a great treasure.

Eu não me sinto bem, eu tenho dor de cabeça e meu nariz esta escorrendo, eu acho que eu peguei um resfriado. Um resfriado é muito desagradável e frequentemente traz serias complicações, se mau cuidado.
Gripe é frequentemente o resultado de um resfriado ruim, ela começa com dor nas juntas, com febre e tosse, se não tratada a principio se torna muito serio, e quando os pulmões são atacados, pode-se tornar fatal.
Quando uma pessoa esta doente, nós levamos para o médico: ele sente o pulso do paciente, verifica a temperatura, faz perguntas, e então ele receita remédios e dieta para o paciente.
Depois de uma seria doença, vem um período de recuperação, o qual é um tempo difícil para o invalido que está frágil, sem energia ou deseja estar forte, somente com grande paciência e muita força de vontade ele pode fazê-lo melhorar novamente.
Saúde é um grande tesouro.

Eu não me sinto bem; estou com dor de cabeça e dor de garganta; meu nariz está escorrendo; acho que peguei um resfriado. Um resfriado é muito desagradável e frequentemente leva a complicações graves se for negligenciado. A gripe é geralmente o resultado de um resfriado forte; ela começa com dores nas articulações, febre e tosse; se não for tratada imediatamente, torna-se muito grave e, quando os pulmões são afetados, pode até ser fatal.

Quando uma pessoa está doente, chamamos o médico: ele sente o pulso do paciente, mede a temperatura, faz perguntas e, em seguida, prescreve medicamentos e dieta para o paciente.

Após uma doença grave, vem o período de convalescença, que é um momento difícil para o enfermo, que está fraco, sem energia ou vontade de se fortalecer; somente com grande paciência e muita força de vontade ele conseguirá fazer o seu melhor para se recuperar novamente. A saúde é um grande tesouro.
